| Alika Edwards has always had a diligent and energetic approach to image making. Her fresh contemporary approach is always underpinned by by your requirements no matter how specific. Although primarily based in Cardiff, Alika is also available to travel throughout the UK and abroad. After graduating with a BA in Documentary Photography at Newport University, Alika is constantly expanding her portfolio and still perusing an exhibition level of art as well as evolving her commercial work to a highly professional standard. Alika's wedding photography approach stems from her documentary background, she always strives to capture the tone of each individual occasion as unique, elegant and beautiful, and not simply going through set poses which litter the wedding photography landscape. Alika's personal work pulls no punches in its depth and self expression, in a visual culture where image manipulation and a glossy sheen seem to dominate, she excels at extracting the innate beauty and vulnerability from her subjects, including self portraiture, with a refreshing frankness that is essential to her craft. Alika's nude work was exhibited in London and a forthcoming show of her latest work is set to take place in August of 2010 in Cardiff. |
